Let me chime in since I'm the one that posted the poll. Here's how I see it: >You're smart. >You're an introvert >As such, you are aware of the dangers of following the "sheeple" and you would prefer to find your own path alone. One that demonstrates your intelligence and separates you from dumb sheep. >The market gives you an opportunity. The problem is that it is too obvious. Surely this is a trap. Surely this is what the sheep will take. Must avoid. >Hesitate because "no ego boost if win, look like a fool for 'following sheep' if lose. >Trade would have won. >Find another trade. Looks hard enough to have been missed by the sheep. >Take trade because "look smart if win, 'good effort' if lose" because at least you didn't follow the sheep. No humiliation. No shame. Just money. >Trade loses >Repeat ad infinitum >Solution: Be humble. Realize that you are not a sheep even if you must join the herd in the course of trading. Realize the only path to winning is to take the trades that risk humiliation. Change objective from "take path less traveled" to "take path most traveled." Start winning. Make money. Have good career.
I do have anxieties but not paranoid at all. We all have our moments of anxiety in trading, it's part of the game. As long as it doesn't tip over into full-blown paranoia, we're good, right? Keep calm and trade on!
