Are you guys prepared for this bear market +5 years?

Discussion in 'Trading' started by DisciplinedHedg, Feb 26, 2003.

  1. Sat in a seminar given by John B. in December. He claims that we're in the 4th year of a 16 year Bear Market Cycle. Not sure we're going to get that "2nd half turnaround" this year, again!!

The pairs are working, the bills are being paid, it will be a long while before the fortune can be reclaimed. . . . .

hitting singles are still better than a real job. I could not think of a better job than this. So bear or no bear, life is still too good to be true with daytrading.

There will always be a new breed of traders come in to the market and think he can make it big even in a bear market. So there will always be money to be made by better traders.

Maybe with trading, it's either u got it or dont. The ones that dont wont be here in another 2-3 yrs. For now, I think all of u guys are making money or else u would not have time chatting in here and instead have to look for a real job :)

  9. I'm ready to Lay the Smack Down On This Market! I'm gonna make a gazilliong bucks. I'm gonna trade from Monte Carlo this time next year.....

Actually, I'll be lucky if I'm not working at McDonald's, but everyone else seems to sound so optimistic.

  10. there are still bull markets out there, just not in the major indexes. You have to look at sectors and some small caps and mid caps to find uptrends. Gold, housing, and bonds have all done very well over the past year. Very rarely does everything go down at once.
