Resources are not infinite. Even on Mars.

  2. Somebody has posted that if all countries consume like USA, then we would need 12 Earths to support the human population.

Are you telling me there are no "new" industries.

there is a finite number of possible business/coporations/industries.

    Thats funny.

Bearice, I had to struggle some to come up with an answer that was worthy of the question: "Are Women to Blame for Present World Economic Problems?"

After very careful consideration I have reached the inevitable and inescapable conclusion that women are most definitely to blame not only for economic problems, but all problems. If we could only find it in our power to eliminate all women, I am confident there would be no more problems to be faced by the human race, economic or otherwise.

This post of yours is the most insightful ever. Please let me be the first to congratulate you upon arriving at the root cause of all human problems. WOMEN!

  6. resources are finite, but human ingenuity is infinite.

as resources get consumed, humans innovate to find more efficient ways to use them and to find replacements that are more abundant.

an example is oil. as oil gets consumed, its price goes up, and as a result humans seek alternatives like solar, geothermal, etc. Thus, oil being a finite resource won't stop human expansion.

price discovery prevents any resource from being totally consumed

"price discovery prevents any resource from being totally consumed"
explain that principle to your socialist president.
maybe then the US would not be in its current mess.

ps also explain it to the whining American public as the price of gasoline hits new highs.
