are we in a recession now? or is it possible to even know if we are in one or will it always be a controversal question? or is achknowledged by all only after it has happened ("after the fact" event)?
Do you know what recession is? Look up the definition and you will know better. Always good to understand the detail behind the investment words used.
We are not in recesssion, we are in the beginning periods of stagflation. Fed admited that risk to growth and inflation are now equal. Fed probably needs to cut rates another 200 basis point real quick just to delay impending recession. but that implies $150 oil and a deadbeat dollar. I think we get all of the above. However, markets could rally somewhere in there before the big wave down. Gotta love markets...
