Are traders on EliteTrader better than average?

SML is ESL which I cannot quite understand. wxy has a TBI (perhaps involved in SML's accident) and wildchild cannot subtract two numbers. They may be the profitable outliers...

 

Outliers alright (thank God). But I think you're overrating Wildchild.

 

IG is a bucket shop. Their spread betting is dodgy as hell.

 

There can be only one alpha, but it's not all it's cracked up to be. You have to keep changing your name to get out from under all the psycophant PM's that keep piling up

 

i notice lots of people seem to make $$$ on elitetrader, but then I think everyone does nowadays. It's hard to lose! The market is kind of guaranteed to go up most days nowadays. Been that way for ages!!

 

I think a better question would be are ET traders out performing a buy and hold of SPY strategy?
If you are trading to make money you should be outperforming the index. If you are not then you are wasting your time and effort!!

Not quite. I am assuming the demographic of CFD traders at IG Group mirrors that of traders in general.

Traders on EliteTrader are likely to be very different, which I surmise will be reflected by a smaller percentage of losing traders than the general population.

No, I am not losing money this year.

There is a lot of traders making millions per year trading, they will just never tell anyone they making millions per year.

Many millionaire traders come to ET website to read post and have fun. But they will never disclosed what they making millions. Cause they may get robbed or killed for their money.
