Does a specialist or a person working at trading desk need to be some kind special in nature than an ordinary person? Are they faster? Or do they endure longer? Otherwise how do they match large quantity of orders in realtime for days and days?

How I become as special as they are?

    :p

Why there is nobody answering my question seriously? I am seriously planing as a what I will profit in 2004, a specialist or a consultant. And I will start to work out in case strong physical condiction is required.

    :p

  7. I don't know firsthand, but I'd assume that you need to begin working for a specialist firm (a list is available from the NYSE website if you hunt around a bit), then try to become a specialist clerk, and then after about 3-5 years (from what I've heard) you may get the opportunity to become a specialist...

Again, I don't have any experience with this, so you should confirm it elsewhere...
