Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers. 5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally. 6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages. 7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border. 8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal. 9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking. 10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish. A Wall Street Journal editorial dated December 5, 1994 quotes law enforcement officials as stating that Asian mobsters are the "greatest criminal challenge the country faces." WHEN I WAS YOUNG I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island . They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breathe free. They wanted to become Americans. Now, far too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges ... affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture. NOW ... WHY CAN'T WE SEND THEM HOME
While terrorist attacks from radical Islam are a serious matter to be dealt with, they pale in comparison to what illegal immigration will do/is doing to this country.
Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down. Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq. Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defend ed this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, but without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved.
It seems that many people have forgotten but, most of the Mexicans crossing the border are indigenous people of this continent. Also, I do not recall guys on the Mayflower asking for permission to land here, settle and take over this continent from the natives. And let's not forget the numerous treaties signed by our government with many tribes in which their lands were never to be taken over by the government and colonists. Well, we all know how that ended don't we? It may sound harsh, but they are just re-populating the land that was theirs to begin with. disclaimer: I am not Mexican in any way shape or form. So I guess we are supposed to be asleep at the wheel like the indians and simply let them "take it back". Screw that. (And I'm as much a mutt as anyone. Like many people in my area I had relatives on both sides of the "Trail of Tears".)
Kinda puts NAFTA in perspective though. If you were dumb enough to think it would somehow, equalise the american continent's economic disparities....rather, than hand more power to the same people already running the show.
The indigenous people of this continent invaded this continent from Asia. I don't remember them having to ask if they could come here and kill and eat all the poor innocent buffalo. BTW, most of the people coming across the border are doing it illegally. Did the indigenous people have a country before the White Man came? Hell no. They were too busy smoking loco weed and taking psilocybin. (Psilocybe mexicana). Now days they just drink themselves to Death.
Silly argument, but one I have heard Mexicans use. We now have two soveriegn countries. The past is the past. Mexico is using the US as their escape valve for excess population. We get their poor, uneducated and often criminal elements and they avoid revolution. It's ridiculous. But probably NOTHING can be done. Religion, culture and lack of education means the Mexicans will probably continue to multiply like rabbits. What's to be done?? bt
I read somewhere that around 50% of new pregnancies are of Mexican origin. Illegal Mexicans should immediately be given citizenship and a draft for the military should start immediately. Especially for those just given new citizenship. In fact, we could make it a requirement for citizenship. Or they can be thrown in jail or put on a workfarm. I wonder how many would be willing to come across the border then.
