Are there any good Freeware Charting/Intra-day Data Programs Available?

  1. I am just starting to try and elarn about trading and was wondering if there are any good freeware programs to do charting and also to gather intr-day data? If not can anyone recommend a good lowcost alternative. If I decide this is fro me I will be glad to spend the necessary funds but for now I want to keep costs low. Thanks everyone.

They promised US exchanges back in January, then in August promised them in "2 to 3 months". I have doubts about this for the US markets.
