Those are investors, position traders at best. They built their trading fortune and insider knowledge before the digital revolution in trading began, all new discretionary traders following the HFT revolution must be using AI to compete.
That's because I don't want to meet you. Your bashing is limiting your knowledge as part of the available knowledge will never reach you. Bashing people will close doors for you. On top of that you really think you know everything and everybody, do you? Just like 80% of the people think they are in the top 10% best drivers.

I know from experience that there are many discretionary ways to trade. The human advantage is the qualitative evaluation of all known data points using "reason". Once you figure that out, you can automate it. It took me over two years to make that transition. I'll never go back to screen watching, even if I could double my profits. Life is too short. Surprisingly, my manual trading was so heavily mechanical, the transition marginally decreased performance.
