Hereâs a video of a speech Romney gave in 2008 â he apparently had this as part of his stump speech for quite some time â saying that he wants to make sure every computer has a magic anti-porn button on them to keep all the dirty thoughts out. And this was not just an isolated pander. He repeatedly said, âI want to make sure every new computer sold in this country, after Iâm president, has installed on it a filter to block all pornography.â http://freethoughtblogs.com/dispatches/2012/07/26/mitts-magic-anti-porn-button/
The left needs to avoid using the phrase "against all regulations" It is not true. But it allows simple minded comments like yours. By making the premise an absolute you can call anyone out on something.
I think the point was the extreme regulation against freedom espoused by Romney and not that he is against every single regulation. What was your point FT ?
Well the Obama Kool-Aid Drinkers certainly have a smoking gun on this issue. It turns out that Romney wants parents to have the ability to block their children from viewing porn.
Was Romney's plan an optional porn blocker or did it automatically block porn? I'm all for parents controlling what their kids look at on the net but is stopping Americans from looking at Romney's definition of porn a priority of the government? Aren't there private software companies and internet providers that do this very thing ?
If you are going to quote somebody and show a clip, could the clip at the very least have the quote that you are referencing. He says "I am going to make sure that every new computer that goes into a home in the future has a button or a place where the citizen, the parent is able to block all that pornography from their children's internet screen." This statement is a far cry from you claim he said.
