Are politicians redundant ?

    Perhaps the spending by politicians should be reined in ? a lot in some recent cases.
    So the National Banks should have control over politician's spending by declaring how much the taxpayers can afford first off.

    How it is spent is then up to the politicians.

    Even how it is collected could be determined by them too.

    Good question.
    Perhaps those who have had a successful banking careers and didn't get caught with their " fingers in the till"

    I see on the news banner that the ex Virginia Governor of is up for fraud. Some never learn.

    Maybe someone in the US could get the stats of politicians and their misdoings before they pass a law like the Italians that gives them have immunity from the law while in Parliament.

    So instead of "philosopher kings" we look for philosopher bankers. :D

    Good old honesty and competence would do.
    Perhaps a part time philosopher too ? Could persuade the usual suspects to turn over a new leaf ?
