Sorry that Kids in the Hall was cancelled years ago, you guys must be starving for entertainment now. And yes, Bill Maher is a very American thing, since he espouses specifically on American topics. I don't think we'd find a comedy show about the antics of Justin Trudeau or the hijinx of locals in Tuktoyaktuk very amusing down here, because we would not know the context.
What are you talking about? I said I use options in tandem with stocks positions. I also said trying to earn income from options or profit with some strategy that doesn't include the underlying is a fool errand...except for 0-3 DTE's with the correct risk management although still a grind so you'll probably get bored and start over sizing.
OP you don’t sound like a trader. People I know who trade options successfully are not talking about “premium”, covered calls, punting 0dte, etc., they’re talking about buying on credit/debit, convexity/concavity of the trade, the term structure of vol, long or short gamma, charm, etc. Humans struggle to be self aware and it looks like you are still very early in your learning. Perhaps take yourself a little less seriously and be more inquisitive. Posters like @taowave @newwurldmn and others have significant real life experience (and pnl!). Don’t let your ego get in the way of your profit motive.
Are you kidding me right now??!? WTF!! "Obviously I'm trading indexes..." https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...money-pun-intended.375447/page-6#post-5840409 It is quite obvious to me now, through your inconsistencies, that you started this thread just to get into fights with people because you are mad you cannot make money with options, yet for someone to show you how to do so with more complex strategies like straddles and condors etc.
I think @wxytrader is someone who thinks he has found a good method, hides it, but wants to know whether anybody else comes close to it, by provoking the others to tell about their methods...
If you look to what I am responding to the poster asked if I was trading stock options where clearly I was talking about indexes.
Yes they are looking at the probability of profit and confirming a change in the rate of change/slope using the rsi...all wordiness to look smart.
