All this AR talk got me cleaning my rifles this morning.

  2. Isn't that kind of like watching porn giving you the itch to go do something?

I spy an MR556 there. Nice gear.

Here is another top piston maker that I'd forgotten: http://adcordefense.com/products/a-556-elite/

    In order of preference:

    ADCOR & HK
    LWRC
    PWS

The HK is the only piston AR that I've shot that has never failed to cycle; not once. I bought the upper receiver today to be fitted to a Knight's (SR-marked) lower. Also will be fitting a VLTOR (longer) rail to it.

The best DI gun I've ever shot was the Knight's SR-15: http://www.knightarmco.com/portfoli...itary&term=sr-15&features=sr-15-carbine-mod-2

Brethren, it's highly unlikely that all the rounds in a revolver will misfire.

It's possible that an AR15 could jam.

Which would you rather be holding in a home defense emergency?

Limited to six shots. FBI data shows that something like 20% of rounds fired during an engagement make it to the target. I own a couple Glocks and their tolerances are so loose that I have literally never had a failure to fire, or more importantly, a failure to eject or cycle. 17 rounds. Have you ever attempted to use a speedloader on a revolver? I am at 2-3 inch groups at 25Y with Federal FMJ. Modern striker-fire handguns are reliable. Yes, revolvers had an obvious edge in reliability, but 1/3 the capacity.

I fired 700 rounds of General Dynamics SS-109 last weekend from a KAC SR-15 Car MOD2 without one failure. All mags were PMAG Gen two and three. Amazing quality DI gun. I will probably pick one up this week from a dealer on Gunbroker.

BTW, this is a great thread, cleared a lot of questions up for me.
What about vest, body protection, anybody have any info, experience?
