you're right about time frames. my appl long is not a trade. same with my goog long. but one thing that i don't understand, is why you think i'm frustrated? lol. btw, re ES........i am one of the very few people who has posted a P&L day trade blotter on ES. i did it for several months back in 2009 - march - may. and again in the beg. of 2010. but i stopped because it added no value to my own trading and was more a nusiuance for me than anything else. i have nothing to prove to you or anyone. RTD, you talk like a hot shot day trader, but i think i have only seen one blotter from you. why don't you post an ES blotter every day for several months? i'm not trying to get in a pissing match with you, RTD really. i have better things to do. in fact, if i don't reply to this thread anymore, don't take it personally, i just find that ET is not a great use of my time. i ended early today so i thought i'd stop by....and i'm not pleased with myself for getting caught up in your stuff. oh well....no one's perfect.
skier, you are to be commended for trying to speak to this teenage internet troll respectfully, but I am hereby absolving you of the duty. retailstopfailure is the heir to the coinzy/T28/increasenow/stocktrad3r throne. He's a laughingstock of the site. His calls have been so pathetically bad, you would think he would just try again with another username. Instead, what he does is deny he made them, even though they're searchable. Maybe he doesn't know that they're searchable. Whenever anyone points out one of his lies or errors, he just says, 'Nope, that's not true' and carries on. It's an internet troll thing. In addition, he likes to tell some of the acknowledged winners here that they can't trade. Anyhow, thanks for putting those links into the record.
By "breezing through" I meant their earnings grew and beat estimates every quarter. What stocks did during that period was based on hedge fund and panic selling. I was referring to the performance of the company. Once the panic was over and the rally off lows began, it made sense for AAPL to hit new 52-week highs. And so the market has been rational in this case.
xxxskier is a very good ES day trader who has posted his/her full trading blotters in the past demonstrating how to scale out of a larger position.
"... 60 percent of people who say they currently own an Apple product -- âdonât foresee an iPad purchase in their future,â according to an online survey of 2,000 consumers age 18 and older. The survey was done between Feb. 24 and March 3, NPD said. âItâs easy to sell stuff to early adopters because they want to buy stuff,â Baker said. âItâs hard to sell to the mass market because you have to convince them what youâre selling is something new they want.â" http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aBKRNmEeHIh4&pos=5

The 1st generation ipad seems to be limited and I think apple might be doing this on purpose, I believe the second generation probably coming out in 2011 will add the options everyone wants in the ipad being released on Saturday which is, Multitasking, USB port Flash Camera Video Recorder etc, etc, etc, etc.
This tablet looks really neat: http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/16/notion-ink-adam-hands-on-with-video-at-mwc-2010/
