People who don't like their privacy invaded by greedy corporate giants. They lie about the investigation... how would you know they aren't lying about anything else?

Reality is actually scarer than "1984".

Do you know that your iPhone has a GPS built in and that when you start up and end an application it will send the application used, the times, and your location data to Apple? When not in reach of a cell tower it will save the details to send it the next time you are in reach....

Apple is now working on an application called "friends" and it will keep track (using same technology) of where your "friends" are - if within a certain distance you can opt to have an (audible) alarm going off and indicating where they are.

Similarly Apple is now pushing "iCloud" where you store all your data on Apple's servers.

What do you think those implications for privacy are and how usefull that is to government agencies?

At the same time they want your mobile to become your credit card. (in case you do not know: telephone companies are the best debt collectors, remember the days that there was dial-up and the connections was silently lost and then switched off the speaker in your computer to call some number in Bulgaria -or wherever- at $ 100.- a minute and you had to cough up the money due to "international trade agreements" that could not be "violated"?).

Already Apple has moved to silence competition with removing the DVD players from their computers so you have to buy from their iTunes or their "App Store".
