  1. They're gonna buy the NASA shuttles and send astronauts to the moon to paint the Apple logo on it. Best advertising space evah!

They could too! A shuttle costs around $1.7 Billion to build and $450 million to launch it into orbit. A moon expedition would eat the rest of that 100 Billion though probably. Interesting to know that they have the means to do it.

I was just thinking: Stock Split? Then they'd do some acquisitions after? They might do this instead of a dividend. I would think a dividend would send out the wrong signal.

  4. No, thats how much it costs a bureaucratic government to build and launch a shuttle. It cost $26 million to design & build Spaceship one (virgin Galactic).

If you gave a private firm $1 billion dollars, they could probably send a human to mars with that money.

Look at NASA...They were ordered to waste 1.4 million dollars per day on a defunct project because of bureaucracy.

This would be an extremely dumb move. Think about it.

  10. 2.65 share dividends. But at least Apple is upfront on the 10B a year buyback mainly going to be a net wash for investors since it will be just buying back newly minted shares handed out to insiders.
