The difference here is: – The $100,239 payout was already approved in writing by Apex’s own team. – Then the account was silently reset after days of follow-up — no explanation, no violation logged. – Another PA with $80K profit was also reset after 7 days of live trading, again with no warning. So it’s not just shady terms — it’s confirmed approval + retroactive erasure, which crosses into something more serious. Appreciate the honesty though. We need more transparency and accountability in this spa
Great, thanks. I've been stating it for 10Y here. Some of them have FCM accounts with a fraction of the funds allocated.
Good question. These were both Live Performance Accounts — payouts were already being issued before the issue. I had received 5 approved payouts without any problem. Then the 6th one ($100,239) got approved in writing… and suddenly, silence. A few days later, account reset to $0 without explanation. Same for another PA that reached $80K profit — Apex let me trade 7 more days after a supposed violation, then erased everything. So it’s not about exploiting the evaluation system — it’s about traders doing everything right, then getting wiped out after approval.
You’re absolutely right. The deeper you dig, the clearer it gets — most of these firms operate with way less funding than what they claim to allocate. But the issue here isn’t just underfunding… it’s the retroactive denial of payouts after approval. Once traders do everything by the book and still get reset to $0, it’s a whole other level of concern. Thanks for adding to the conversation — more people need to understand what’s really going on.
Why is anybody still trading with Apex, after all that trouble they gave to their traders ? There are much better prop firms out there, with simple rules and payouts without any trouble.
Totally valid question. Apex was one of the most popular firms because of the low cost and fast scaling. For a while, it worked great — I personally had 5 successful payouts with them. But things changed. Retroactive rule enforcement, payout freezes, and silent resets started affecting more traders — including myself. That’s why I’m speaking up now. Transparency is everything in this space.
It's a Ponzi. You think the guy is connected to a BD/FCM? The accounts are sim. He's banking challenge fees and knowing the Draconian rules will make it difficult to generate a payout. Dude doesn't have the money and WTF is he going to do? Pay out on sim? Apex was a fraud from day one. No influencer is going to do deal with a zero probability of receiving funds. Trading influencers have no audience.
Not here to defend Apex — just to report facts from my case. I was approved for a $100,239 payout, received confirmation via email from Apex, and submitted everything as requested. Then, without prior notice, my account was reset. In a separate PA account, I had over $80,000 in profits, and the account was also reset after 7 days of continued trading following a supposed rule violation — which wasn’t even flagged at the time. I’m not claiming it’s not a SIM model — that’s clear. But when a payout is approved and confirmed, and then erased with no valid explanation… that raises serious concerns. I’m not expecting miracles. I’m just asking for fairness and transparency.
You’re going to need $20-$25K to arrive at a judgement as a criminal complaint is a high bar and won’t provide for disgorgement. At least it will force the guy to appear or you will receive a default judgement. I hope more people come forward. Dude is in Texas, right? I hope you have good records.
Yes, Texas — and I’ve already submitted formal complaints to the FTC, CFTC, and BBB Texas, all with documentation including email confirmation of payout approval. You’re right — criminal cases are a high bar. But if a trader receives a $100,239 payout approval, then sees the account wiped with no violation reported at the time, it crosses into serious misrepresentation. And in my second PA account, $80,000 in profits were erased after 7 days of continued trading following an unflagged “violation.” I’m documenting everything. If others speak up, it adds weight. This isn’t about revenge — it’s about accountability.
