Poor babies. Sucks to be middle class.

  4. Most of the tax raises are targeted at the wealthy. Top rates going up for those making over 250k, + cap gains increasing by 70%. That is if congress passes the numbers Obama tossed out during his campaign.

Middle class won't feel it much except how it affects the general economy (could be significant imo).

  5. Of course. The rumor originated from desperate Clinton supporters.

  6. Really?

Less government means less spending (waste) means lower taxes (in theory).

sure. higher taxes always = bad. check.

let's just have the well-connected cronies do those same services, instead. let's add a profit incentive to those who are now doing the functions previously done by government.

    brillllllliant !!!

oh, and let's do it with borrowed money, to boot.

    result: clean, green, aristocratic fascism.

    great solution, guys.

do you not see, even now, how all of you -- pay as you go government is always: bad, wasteful, irrelevant, expensive -- tools have merely hastened the doom of the middle class, and your own, as well ?

How do any of us commoners benefit from the establishment of a new international aristocracy created from the fiscal train wreck that will inevitably result from privatization ?

it would be funny if it weren' t so tragic.

barnum was wrong: it is not suckers who are born every minute ... instead, it is useful idiots who are born every minute ... each with his own innate, self-righteous, overachieving pathos, prewired.

this is why humans are a waste of time.

  9. hmmmm,

let's see what we have now?:

    (too many to number)
    • higher state, local, sales, real estate and use taxes (vechicle, license, etc.)
    • higher taxes and fewer payers due to offshored jobs and prefunded jobs-tax breaks to corporations
    • almost 10,000 dead soldiers and tens of thousands of broken and wounded soldiers -- another tax upon the society
    • excessive tax breaks to the wealthy and excessive bonds and debt incurred just ot pay those refunds
    • liars to the extreme in office -- a tax burden upon the senses
    • little to no regulation of the financial markets and allowing (enron) loopholes that have destabilized the very financial systems we have grown up under -- yet another tax and assault
    • cynicism and sound bytes and welfare corporations -- some of the most abusive taxes upon the entire populace
    • more to be listed here....
    • 400%+ increase in fuel prices -- the worst taxes yet

    yeah,

    I see your point,

    hey, 4 more years

  10. I think what gnome means is if you can step outside your partisan affiliations and use your brain, (if you idiots have one that works), you can see that democrat or republican is not a boilerplate stamp. In other words, there is no-one that could outspend GW and his massive "conservative" government. That's right, Obama in his wildest dreams will not out spend the idiot that has been ruining our country for the last 7 years.

While you guys worry about taxes, you need to look at the true cost of living. If all you do is look at your pay stub deductions, you are missing that your cost of breathing in this world has about doubled in 43's tenure, oh but your taxes are low, wink wink.
