  2. Scary stuff. One day you're a high flying day trader in your cozy trading room in a mcmansion somewhere in a tree-lined suburban utopia and the next the possibility of rooming with Jerome in the big house is very real all because of a virus.

  3. Here, try this in Windows:

. make sure windows explorer is set to show known file extensions
. start in a directory with just a few jpg files in it
. double click on one of the jpg files and you will get a slideshow type of view. press the arrow keys and rotate through so you can see all of your pictures
. now, pick one of the jpg files and rename it to "windows_log_file_012110.txt"
. again double click on one of the jpg files and press the arrow keys. your picture is gone!
. change the file extension back to "jpg" and voila! your picture is back

Now, tell me how you could expect that a file named "windows_log_file_012110.txt" could send you to prison?

  4. People are sh..

What's the government doing to protect us, or would that not be in the government's best interest?

Don't piss anyone off, the ex-... Disconnect from the net permanently is your best bet. Don't let your best friends borrow or near your machine. Put your machine in a vault before leaving your house or when you alone are not using it..............
