Only if these files are stored in regular videos and picture file name, slightly encrypted file format will render windows search useless, or simply change file's name into customs name. Beside, police will do disk analysis, it will recover most "no properly being deleted" files, the contents of files will be more important than the file names.
I have watched TSA at several airports while traveling the past few months search CONTENT/FILES on a persons laptop. The several individuals I saw having to go through this type of check looked shocked as hell.........be VERY CAREFUL with laptops while traveling and make damn sure you have no imbedded viruses or you will be FU(&#@!!! BTW, for those of you who hate Alex Jones ( www.infowars.com ) be very proud that your TSA goes through his laptops with a fine tooth comb almost EVERYTIME he has to fly.......so there is some obvious profiling going on of American non arab citizens at your friendly neighboorhood airport!!! ENJOY the ever growing police state.....oh, and don't forget getting zapped with a terrawatt of energy as you walk through those lovely new body scanners!!! :eek:
I guess if someone wanted to mess with you, all they'd have to do is copy some pics to your hard drive, change the file extension name and call the police. You'd never even know they were there. There's absolutely no way to scan for this? That's some pretty scary shit.
How about this? http://www.sandboxie.com/ If all the crap you get on the web is isolated and then deleted, and access to your rig is very restricted I'd say the chances are pretty low. PS: I'm not using (yet) the above program.
If you use a program like Evidence Eliminator it is supposed to be untraceable. It's a good idea to use it under the 30 day trial especially if you have financially sensitive data, as I do on the HD and want to donate your computer.
Better security is one of the reason I am beginning to learn and run linux. Much more secure, and free.
I tried it and it slowed down my PC horribly. In some net forums it was mainly suggested for using when you download programs with keygens and cracks to see if they are trojans.

McAfee warning, that's funny since they embed all kinds of files which are very difficult to remove. I used the same site months ago and it's fine.
