Yes,, having supporters like AOC of Cuba's oppressive socialist regime in Congress should make every American cringe.

except they've said nothing (reader may note it's their silence you're criticizing). No, the cringe is Branco's cartoons. Top tier cringe.

AOC gets schooled on her stupidity...

AOC's Cuba tweet draws fiery response from Florida Democrat

    https://www.politico.com/states/flo...-fiery-response-from-florida-democrat-1388475

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday ran into opposition from a prominent Florida Democrat after she called for the U.S. to end its embargo on Cuba, underlining divisions within the party on how to respond to the communist country’s recent upheaval.

“We also must name the U.S contribution to Cuban suffering: our sixty-year-old embargo," Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted. "I outright reject the Biden administration’s defense of the embargo. It is never acceptable for us to use cruelty as a point of leverage against every day people.”

Former Florida congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell publicly chastised the New York congresswoman’s position on Twitter, pointing to “failed policies of a communist regime that has violated human rights, imprisoned & killed dissidents.”

“This is a matter of national security. The US must act,” Mucarsel-Powell tweeted.

  6. Same old shtick and drivel from the Fidelistas about how there are 195 other countries out there for Cuba to trade and interact with but because the U.S has an embargo they are starving to death.

Not to mention all the Canadians who go on vacation in Cuba. All the European hotel chains & resorts in Cuba... and all the other trade with Cuba from Russia, China, and other countries. Somehow AOC and other idiots believe that Cuba is starving due to the U.S. embargo rather than the failings of the Cuban communist government.

  9. Yeh well, Canada is an interesting example in many ways. Cuba says they can't get basic food, medicines, even band-aids and aspirin due to the U.S. embargo. Yet the door to trading with Canada is WIDE open and Trudeau loves Cuba more than Canada. Plus they have commie buddies like China and Russia who do have some resources but apparently they are not getting much from them. Oh I see. The regime is, but the people are not.

And then all the other countries. Some of Cuba's buddies are broke, such as VZ so I understand that they cannot be much help these days. Of course they ended out being broke by following Cuba's lead but I digress, or not.

I am pretty much open to getting medicines to anyone, our enemies included, but if they can't get it together and insist on being obnoxious based on their ideology, not just with the U.S, but apparently with the rest of the world too, well then, that does not help. If frigging Hugo Chavez wanted to come to the U.S for treatment that would have been fine and he would probably still be alive today. But he insisted on going to Cuba - and that is fine too. If it worked for him that worked for me too.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis rips AOC as a 'communist sympathizer' after Cuba remarks
AOC blamed Cuban protests partly on the US' 60-year-old embargo
    https://www.foxnews.com/media/nicole-malliotakis-rips-ocasio-cortez-on-cuba

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., the daughter of a Cuban immigrant, ripped her colleague Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. on "Fox News Live" Sunday for partly blaming the long-held U.S. embargo for the unrest in Cuba, where protesters continue to call for an end to the communist regime.

REP. NICOLE MALLIOTAKIS: What's cruel is the way that the communist regime treats its people. There are two classes in Cuba; one is the ruling class, run by the communists, and then there is everyone else who live in squalor. They don't have access to food, they don't have access to medicine, they don't have access to the basic necessities — and it's certainly not because of the embargo.

Look, Cuba does business with nearly every country in the world, and for six decades they remained a communist regime.

So Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is nothing more than a communist sympathizer who wants to bring socialism to the United States of America and I'm sure she sympathizes with the regime in Cuba. But the reality is that they use everything that they get when they do business with other countries for the regime, they use it to reward the people in the ruling class, it never gets to the people…
