Anyway to password lock input to TWS?

  1. I want to leave TWS on unattended for data collection (of a java socket client), but want no one to be able to place orders.

Any recommended locks?? haven't tried setting screen saver with password requirement upon resumption ...

even better yet, any way to get TWS data feeds without keeping TWS open ?? ie... a HMDS client with the same api/etc.. that can act as a data server?

  2. If you are worried about someone tampering with your real account, simply create a demo account with IB.... the data feeds are the same

  3. 9999

    9999

What about locking the whole computer?
Ctrl+Alt+Del and you should be good to go...

  4. actually thats a great idea. i could just leave the demo account on all the time for the database to build. that'll accomodate multiple login without the pink grid showing up.
    thanks,
