Hey... at least you talked to somebody... as opposed to "the #1 thread on the.... blah blah blah".... talking to himself. I love it. Edit.... "Those who lack attention... will actively seek it". -gvz
So to be clear on these posts re: $ROKU ... I took 1/3 profits off at $269, and then 1/3 at 278. I have split the remaining portion as follows: 50% GTC limit $292, 50% GTC limit $314, and both of these orders are set so as to fill in After Hours/Pre-Market. The $282 was a mistake as I got a little dyslexic in my heat between the $278 and the $292 orders. re: $JKS profit targets $72 and $87 on first 2/3's and then 1/3 as runners with trailing stop. For journal integrity purposes I am long $JKS $67.00, and for those who couldn't figure out the charts I posted a few days ago the $Roku entry $256. $BA for journal integrity marked myself short at $203, and stopped myself out at $212. For those following along if I knew what I was doing I would have gone short at $211 on 11/18 when price gapped open to $225 and sold down and through the $211.20 level noted today. On that day (11/18) intraday price broke that $211.20 (the 11/17 close), tried twice to retake that level but micro double topped. That was a lower high major trend reversal for those who trade Brooks and a green to red sell signal for those old fashioned stock jockeys like me who are old enough to remember when the open, high, low, and close mattered. For ES, the swing long entry pre-dated this journal and was too long ago and too far below current price to matter for journal integrity purposes. But the next profit target is $3820's. As swings develop I will note ES entries here as close to real time as I am able. For now, just tracking the current swing, which is along. $3587 bull above bear below line in the sand and ES probably needs to gap above and go to make a stand for the bulls.
So he sows, so he reaps. In my opinion, if the OP of a thread blocks you, you should leave that thread alone. He blocked me, so I will do as he wishes and no longer read nor participate in his journal. This one is much better anyway, because the OP of this journal will post potentially profitable ideas from time time based on tried and true trading practices. "One thing I can promise you is that I never ask my clients to judge me on my winners, I ask them to judge me on my losers because I have so few." – Jordan Belfort
Stratton Oakmont pitch .” All I ask is for one shot, let’s start small. I’m buying you 200 shares of Georgia pacific. Once you see what I can do, you and I will never buy such a small amount again.” I’m putting the order in. It was the “box in” technique.
Belfort was and is a heckuva salesman. He could have been a heckuva trader had he wanted that for himself. I have found that guys who can hustle a six-figure living from commission only sales make the best candidates for day trading. Conversely, the hourly wage guys have the hardest time as they can't ever stop thinking about the money, the income, the "paycheck" mentality. You gotta want something more than the money or won't even get that.
PLTR limit buy at $21.05 ... will revise if necessary after open. EDIT: May buy calls on this one. I think it possibly has legs into next week and calls easier to manage risk. Better a call goes to $0 than a $21 stock gaps down to $10. As a day trade I'd trade shares, but this might be a multiday swing for me.
