Anyone who don't use volume indicator like me?

  1. I swing trade primarily and find that volume is only good for day trading and for longer term trades it bares little to no influence. Some of the parabolic breakthroughs are when volume are very low before increasing, it's similar to the Bollinger Bands squeeze where you get it contracting and then suddenly expanding. The point of time when volume matter is the "now" and past volume doesn't really matter for future price movements.

    I don't use volume indicator.

    Because my candlestick is volume-based (eg 500V, 1000V ... for ES) and not time-based (5 min, 15 min ....).

  3. Not even that...

If you trade thin volume products, volume indicators are important. But for liquid products, volume indicators are only secondary or minor. They tell you the market momentum and pressure.

For swing trading, I find volume indicators to be of less import.

That is because you are only looking at volume once the move starts.

Ever think volume matters ... coming into a reversal?
