In a CNN phone poll of 500 people,60 % said Obama won In Soladad O'Brien's discussion forum,60 % said Obama won
I thought the same thing too Z, that was a huge statement to make and Ill bet he will have some explaining to do. I said it earlier. You may or may not like the Bush administration, most people don't, but the fact remains that he has SPENT more than all the other administrations combined, yet mccain voted with those spending bills 90% of the time and here he is harping about how he always has been working to control it. Another thing, why don't the candidates ever really engage each other via socratic-like dialectics? Ask them a question and make them answer it. Example: Obama: mccain so said you've spent your career reigning in spending? mccain: yes I have etc etc Obama: Why then do the records who you voted with bush on ALL his bills 90% of the time, when he has spent more than all the other administrations combined? mccain: i have voted against the administration repeatedly etc etc obama: would it be fair then to assume that the 10% you voted against were almost all bills that included very heavy spending? At that point i would wait for his answer and then point out that is not the case because there were only X amount of bills in that 10% that included excess spending etc Im just saying that what I would do, don't let them off the hook.
You're unimportant, as am I, in terms of this debate. You won't vote for Obama, and I won't vote for McCain, irrespective of any of these debates. It's the independents that matter, Cochise.
In all CNN public polls,Obama won in every poll,on every issue, with every group. Even the poll on 55 + year olds, Obama won
You and I evidently saw the same debate. By the way, 82% on the Fox news poll say McCain won. Fox by the way is the most widely viewed news channel....about equal to the total of both CNN and MSNBC. OldTrader
