Just curious to know if anyone is using a "PCIe" network interface card and whether or not they have detected a "difference" over using a standard PCI NIC. http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/adapters/pro1000pt/pro1000pt-overview.htm
There shouldn't be a difference but the PCIe NIC might be better because its the latest thing out but the difference wouldn't be noticeable, if your looking for something fancy you could take a look at http://www.killernic.com/ there NICs are mainly for gaming but they are still interesting because the off load all the Network processing to the card instead of the CPU doing it, also they have a built in firewall so again instead of your CPU being bogged down buy a software firewall it is all taken care of on the NIC card.
