Why would an option trader use metatrader?

  5. MT5 / 4 does not take into account options trading.
As for HFT, the only option they have is:
    "
The OrderSendAsync () function is used for conducting asynchronous trade operations without waiting for the trade server's response to a sent request. The function is designed for high-frequency trading, when under the terms of the trading algorithm it is unacceptable to waste time waiting for a response from the server.
    ".

This is dangerous because an HFT algorithm which does not have the response from the server will continue to send the same command several hundred or thousand times.

  6. You can use Metatrader to hedge your option trades on Interactive Brokers for instance.

    Mt5 is good for hedging.
Not for options, or hft (at least don't know any)

  8. with metatrader, I can send orders to different broker using same api to metatrader? one problem with individual brokers is that if i change to another broker, i have to re-code my program.
