nopm: You mentioned that ADX has to be above 30 (in addition to your other conditions) to take the trade. Do you think if it matters if the ADX goes from 20 to 30 or from 40 to 30. Which do you think is more powerful: declining ADX or rising ADX. Thanks for the journal.
That's because this (and any other successful method) requires the patience and discipline to trade it well - most "public" folks jumping from method to method will not stay with it long enough for there to end up being a glut of people using it.
Now we know? I have been using this "method" for a quite a while now. I think one of the problems for you newbies is you dont understand the central issue. We have been in a consolidating market for almost 2 years. So this "method" has worked quite well, even though there have been period of weeks when there was no signal. Its the same with every system. In order to make it work, you have to have the discipline to wait for your signal. Welcome to the party, and by the way, would you shut the door and turn the lights out when you leave? bye Steve
Patto, Have you completed your backtesting using no_pm's system? In your last post, you are saying you have completed the first half of the year and is working on the second half. Thanks a lot.
Basically, I quit when no_pm went mia. Not sure why he did that. Its a pain in the a** to back test by hand. I could not reproduce no_pm's statistics in the first part of the year. However, I believe Steve46 when he says it works for him.
