You are entitled to your opinion. And you are correct when saying divergences are a a very tricky think to play with. But if NPM is profitable ? Who cares ? He figured out a system that works for him. Kudos !!
"he end of day close was 1277.25, so the risk would've been 3.25 to make 1 pt " well it crossed the parabolic at 1275.75 so it would have been a 1278-1276 trade probably . anyway i just wanted to discuss the lower high point of the strategy. ty
hehe kicking , tell us the true. You want someone else to tell his results with this sys. Cause you are to lazy to try it by yourself uh? I've being trading this sys since NPP wrote his first journal. But I'm not as generous as NPP, expecially with someone with your arrogance and lack of good manners. If you don't get it , you are basically saying NPP is telling BS. Not nice man!
One thing I would say is don't take a trade where the stop is below the high/low of the day. In this case with a stop of 3.25 pts. the worst price I would take is 1278.25. It would've required a limit order.
Kicking - If my memory serves me right, Steve46 said that he was up by 30% trading this system, apparently he had tweaked it a little to minimise his loss on trend days. Well we are watching and learning, no harm in that. Whatever works! Just shows there are generous people like npp still around. Have a good day!!
no pm can you please define clear divergence vs unclear divergence a little more? divergence within what time frame? which points to use when you draw the divergence lines? etc. i did read in previous posts that you had problems coding it. are you just eyeballing it? thanks.
I sim traded on the 14:20 bar ( est). It's the 3rd bar down and I am still in that trade. Let's see how it pans out. npp I am going to sim trade this system for a month or so and then take it up from there. I am labelling the charts are you were doing, that kind of drills the 4-5 conditions one should satisfy prior to entering a trade.
hi Nopm - here are the mechanically drawn divergences for the last couple of days - the mechanical has identified a triple div for this last setup ... - i presume what you say "unclear" is that the angle of price ascent is quite steep while the loss of momentum on the oscillator is relatively small, i.e. the divergence is not that "strong"?
