It trends alot better then S&P's and the Naz futures. It also has wider daily ranges (in terms of the # of ticks).
What I am interested in is what the spread is on ER2... Looks like last Fridays volume was over 17,000...
I trade it and really like it. FWIW, it seems to be a little "faster" at the start of moves than NQ, ES, DAX and diffently ESTX50. The R2K cash does an excellent job intra day of repspecting Higher Highs/Lows and Pivots and can help key you to the next move. The problem is that the futures contract tends to really get premimum heavy or light quickly to the cash. Again, it is really fast. I think because it is a little thin. One thing I try to do is buy or sell on a limit near the outside of the market. At times there is enough "noise" swinging this contract around that you just get hit at a better price. FWIW, I am finding the ESTX50 the most "forgiving" of all the equity index contracts. I key off the DAX, and the ESTX just comes plodding behind it, at times. Best, Mike
