    Internet Services*
Internet access is available on all Princess vessels through our 24-hour onboard Internet Cafés and wireless networks. Use our state-of-the-art computer systems to access your web-based e-mail account, or browse the Internet for world news, sports and stock trading. Or bring your wireless-enabled laptop and access the Internet from our onboard wireless network (per the IEEE 802.11b standard).
Passengers who subscribe to e-mail services from an Internet Service Provider (ISP) are advised to verify that their ISP has a web-mail viewing site prior to sailing. Most major ISPs have websites that allow mail access via a web browser using an e-mail address and password.
Please contact the Internet Café Manager onboard for information regarding the charges that apply to Internet and wireless Internet services and any other specific requirements.
    * Internet access via satellite is significantly slower than high-speed connections on shore. Princess Cruises reserves the right to filter content accessed via the ship’s Internet services. Please note high bandwidth consuming applications such as voice over IP telephony, peer-to-peer file sharing and streaming media may be restricted onboard Princess vessels

  2. Latency is terrible. Multiple hundreds of milliseconds.

  3. I tried the free trial of VPN4ALL, but it didn't help at all, still couldn't load Sterling.

I see some of these VPN services offer port modification ability... would that be something to look into??

  4. Not sure, depends on what that means. Can you point me to a provider that offers it?

  5. nothing wrong with trading on the ship.

sitting on your balcony facing the ocean with beer in hand and a laptop/ipad, occasionally looking at the hotties walking by in bikinis. Of course scalping is out of the question lol. They have wifi, but it's not so good.

There really isnt much else to do on a cruise ship especially the longer ones, it's quite boring. They have a lot of activities but all of them are 2nd rate compared to the real thing on the ground - nightclubs, casinos, restaurants, shows etc.. all are pretty lame.

You go once for the atmosphere, that's it. I like NCL the best, most casual.

  6. Am hoping to trade from a yacht some day ... perhaps while anchored off Monte Carlo ...

Not there yet though ... am going to have to let the winners run and cut the losers short for a bit longer ...
