Has hanging helped anyone? https://www.gazettenet.com/Archives/2013/01/HEjan22shoulder-hg-012213 https://www.kirschshoulder.com/
Hanging doesn't feel particularly great for me. I do pull ups as part of my workout with weights in a backpack and I can feel it and my shoulder will pop most of the time. I never did go in and get it checked out beyond my internist, but may this year. Now to add to the joy of my shoulder popping out at various times I have burning in my elbow joints. F*** this getting old crap.
I never regularly did pull-ups, but I did have similar issues with chins (underhand grip). To avoid shoulder and elbow pain, I used a close grip and hung from my fingers, not my palms or wrists. However, I stopped doing them after I hurt a forearm. So I agree with your assessment about getting old.
Just saw this...Had rotator cuff/bicep (total tear) repair back in May 2022. It is one of the longest healing process of any surgery...6-9 months!! You have muscles crossing in every which way. I had three screws put in my shoulder. They put in cow collagen at the site to heal quicker!!
Well, that put off the call I was going to make this week for an appointment. Maybe go in and have it checked and decide from there what to do. Always possible it is not torn.
Do RECORDED PT for a year...No good results, they will do the MRI and surgery. If it's a partial tear, recovery time is very little and simple surgery. A complete tear...More work and a lot more PT...
Hanging is helping so far, not the kind my exes want’s! Hanging ten minutes at 50-120 seconds(5 sets) four to five days a week. I thought it was joke until the pain doing incline and decline bar and dumbbells has backed off. No glory days weight, sticking to 10-20 reps.
