Anyone take the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Program

  1. I wanted to find out if anyone here has taken the test or has information on the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Program. I am thinking of going thru this series of self study tests and wanted to find out some more info beyond what the MTA has on their website. From what I have heard it a nice credential to have like the CFA exam, but less prestigious.

I wanted to know if anyone knows how this professional designation is viewed upon within the professional money management industry (hedge funds, ect), how hard the exams are, and whether it is worth spending the time to take it.

I am currently taking the CMT Program. Education will never hurt you when it comes to the markets. Why not have another pin on your shirt. The CMT is very highly viewed in today trading world and will help you for getting a job where ever you apply.
