Anyone shorting PALM here?

Short a few in premarket around 30.60. Stock closed on low Friday and is gapping up based on a press event they are holding with Microsoft and Verizon to introduced Treo700...which everyone already knew about days before earnings. Sell the news anyone?

 

what if msft wants to buy it to launch their mobile os? d'oh!!

should work.

 

this is only an intraday trade for me. In fact I will be gone if this stock breaks the premarket high near $31. Highly unlikely Microsoft will announce they are buying PALM on the day of a press announcement like that. Besides, when's the last time Microsoft bought a hardware company?

 

Covered 70% of my short at 30. Letting the last 2000 shares ride.

 

Heard that there's alot of ET members who specialize in palm overnight.
