When he's marched into the concentration camp, Amt.

    I mean "re-education" camp.

Rapacious "capitalists" are no better than bolshevik liberals.

As soon as the middle class is destroyed, ballgame over.

Oh, it's all so simple isn't it. And Obama's plan to transfer wealth from small businesses (the real backbone of America) to the have-nots-because-they-work-not is going to solve everything. Wow, I feel enlightened.

Who was the last President that vowed to raise taxes during a recession? Wasn't his name Hoover? How did that work out?

Before Clinton came into office, all I heard was how awful the "last 12 years" were, and how it would take decades to fix everything. In reality, Clinton inherited a pretty nice gig. rode it for all it was worth and left "W" with the Dot-Bomb bubble and start of the easy credit nightmare.

To be fair, this is all a lot more complex than what this or that administration did. There are myriad interacting variables within an economy, not to mention unintended consequences from actions taken years ago. But it's a lot easier to blame one person for everything you didn't like during the last 8 years.

  4. People should use their brains. We are not electing "King Leonidas" to inspire us and lead us into battle we are electing a MANAGER of the most complex enterprise in the world. So things like who loves america more, who shares "small town values", somebody's personal heroism, who can you have a beer with and other crap people think about should be disposed of quickly.

First and foremost qualification (I am not talking about natural born 35+ year old US citizen) is brain power. The person up there has to be an educated and sophisticated, otherwise he(she?) will hurt him(her)self and others. Other things come second.

Let's go through qualifications of John McCain:

Despite having a father and grandfather that turned out to be Admirals (McCain's father got as high as command of Pacific Command during Vietnam I believe) John McCain graduated FIFTH FROM THE BOTTOM from U.S Naval Academy. He only achieved the rank of Captain (not even rear admiral!)

He was involved in several crashes of airplanes (whose fault it was nobody will ever know) After his much publicized captivity in Vietnam, he returned to USA, ditched his first wife that got disfigured in a car accident and married a richer younger one (that is some achievement marrying into money!) Her money and her family influence got him started in Arizona politics and the rest is history.

John McCain has a reputation for bad temper(comes in handy when dealing with nukes!), does not send e-mail (totally computer illiterate), does not understand economy as he should, and says things like Iraq/Pakistan border. Man is old as dirt.

The bimbo he got as his running mate graduated from the awesome University of Idaho with a BS in journalism, then managed a city of 6000 people (got it burdened with millions in debt obligations) then got to be the governor of a sparsely populated state. At least she is a hockey mom! And she would be one heartbeat from the presidency.

None of this should be construed as blind support for Obama. Obama is a pompous JFK wannabe but Harvard Law>Naval Academy fifth from the bottom any day. Regardless of his arrogance he was a constitutional law professor and that counts for a lot since we have an administration that believes in imperial presidency.

If you want a taste of the McCain presidency it is very simple: 700 billion Military budget (he could try to get it to 1 trillion), horrible economy and potential confrontation with Russia/China/Venezuela/Iran or anyone that looked at him funny.

And Obama thinks there are 57 states, doesn't know which "faith" he is (Muslim or Christian, depends who asks him), stammers like a drunk when he doesn't have a speech written for him, lies on citizenship-related paperwork and wants to gut out the most productive part of the U.S. (hint: it's not the big corporations).

And he's never had to worry about being a POW since he's never been in the military and probably never shot a gun or been in a fight. He's a metrosexual who prances and poses for every GQ-looking photo op that comes his way...when he's not writing another memoir. Heaven help us. Putin must licking his chops when he thinks about the nancy who's about to be CoC.

  6. 57 states is one slip John McCain has a trillion. The muslim christian thing is a non issue. If he was not a citizen it would have come out already. Trying to run for president when you are not a natural born citizen could even be criminal.

How is that being a veteran is suddenly important when a republican is running for office? John Kerry's three purple hearts did not matter against a "tough guy" that "defended the skies of texas from north vietnam"

Stalin was a much tougher individual than Truman was but in the berlin airlift Stalin lost because US had nukes and Soviet Union did not. US military is stronger than either China or Russia and it is not going to change whether it is Obama as the president or Britney Spears.

Republicans should be silent on economics. King George ran up 4+ Trillion Debt. Most of the perceived positive things about US economy during limited time of Bush presidency was simply an illusion (bubble driven by flipping houses.)

You should stop listening to Rush Limbaugh show.

    I agree.

University of Idaho - third tier school - I thought the kids in second tier schools were stupid!

Obama wants to lower taxes for people whose income is less than $250,000, which is 91% of the population. All this talk of Obama wanting to raise taxes for the middle and lower class are either misinformed or intentionally misleading.

  10. Truth is neither one of the candidates is going to help. All this stupid Donkey vs. Elephant arguing bullshit is what is majorly wrong with this country. Everyone should write in Ron Paul for president but nobody wants to hear that beacuse people cn't handle the truth.
