"I bought SAFM at 38.35 on Feb 17, and it's now trading at 35.35. That's down about 7%. Get a clue...."

    Mr Market now:
"I bought the stock on Feb 17 at 57.34."

  4. The actual purchase price was 57.34...the split adjusted price is 38.35..if this is too difficult for you to understand then there is really no point in continuing THIS discussion. Any other ET'ers speak Mr. Axeman's language? He obviously cannot understand me.

  6. Then you bought it at 57.34, you know, the price it was at
WHEN you bought it. Learn to communicate clearly.
You must have fur inside your mouth as well :D

  7. In the financial world, once a stock has split, all historical prices, and references to same, are revised to the split-adjusted basis. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to educate you.
