    Hi

I am trying to clean up a PC and wondered if anyone was using PC Optimizer and what their thoughts on the subject of clean ups might be

    thanks

  2. Recommend CCleaner (ccleaner.com) - it cleans everything and is widely used

"CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. "

  3. Just be careful with eraser or CC because if you delete some important files (system files) you'll be up a creek without a paddle.

    garbage

  5. Simpler solution exists, try "msconfig" from the Start>Run

Jump to "Startup" tab and then get rid of all junk that auto-starts.

Except for stuff that where command is residing in "c:\windows\system32\.." and "rundll32.exe.."
