Just saw this video: There is a link to Transcendental Meditation on this site that I found eye-opening: http://cults101.com/
This was Part Two. Following is Part One, where the ex-TM teacher Patrick Tyan likens TM to Scientology: Fascinating stuff.
The only distinction that I see between so-called Transcendental Meditation and typical mantra meditation is that typical (free) mantra meditation ties the mantra to the outbreath, where the breath is used to anchor to the present. TM does not require this anchoring: I'm not aware of any other differences. If anyone here has tried different means of meditation for any length of time, TM among them, I'd be interested to know what, if any, distinctions you may have discerned between and among the different approaches.
I have as much interest in trans anything... as I do in reading books on trading Futures derivatives based on star-chart readings. The funny thing is, these books actually exist on Amazon! Though, I suppose I could spend a night with a really hot trannie in BankCock, but that's another story! Yes, I read Dalio's book on the changing world order. But it was no surprise many years ago when I saw what China was already planning. The writing was on the wall 20-years ago, and billionaires were talking about this back then. I will give it a re-read again down the road, as a few times I felt too tired to absorb all the information.
Another exposé on TM. There is a fair amount of overlap with other videos I posted, but there is also some additional content not previously mentioned. Am I the only one who thinks the Maharishi sounds like a duck?
