Is this something you have really traded all day or just peeked in and made a few trades. If a trader is scalping and making a lot of trades the free commissions could make a huge difference.
Stonks are never free, b-a spread is where they get ya. TSLA I'm guessing (someone can correct me) spread is $0.03-0.05 range, eMini almost all of the time is 1 tick other than middle of the night.
Funny you said, “peek”….I peek occasionally at other stocks… when I see TLSA behaving like it has been, I watch it all day and trade it.
the spread on TSLA can and has been at times .10 or more….watching the spread helps me with the direction of the price move.
Off my Chinese brokerage app. Options have been a dream to trade with TSLA. The T/S moves like a symphony. “News Highlights $Tesla(TSLA.US)$shares rose by 4.06%, closing at $244.40. Its options trading volume is 5.11 million, 1.99 million more than the volume on Thursday. Call contracts account for 65.0% of the whole trading volume. The most traded calls are contracts of $250 strike price that expire on June 16th. The total volume reaches 156,639 with an open interest of 34,722.”
Thursday someone bought 1000@$.19 $250 calls and let them expire worthless. They opened at $3+ and he refused to sell as they passed $4. I buy and sell either, totally agnostic.
Well, I made a decision. Watching ES today was like throwing a small rock into a pond and watching the ripples while TSLA had some meaningful moves. I am going to bring my TOS account up to PDT levels and trade Tesla. Just curious: What do you think would be a decent expectation of average daily profit per share while daytrading TSLA. I have a number in mind but I don't want to be the first to say.
