Hi In Dubai, but not trading full-time currently; was previously active with a local investment bank so glad to answer any questions on local players. As for DPTG, yes very expensive if you ask me... Dubai is ripe for a reasonable trading arcade that isn't trying to gouge traders. Timezone and lifestyle are great, just not the cheapest place to be based. There are a few guys doing their own prop books, but mostly setup in partnerships and not looking to attract the attention of becoming a full-blown arcade/prop-shop
Hi, What would you need to do in order to trade proprietary capital ? Show track record ? If so for how long ? Regards, Lars
All sounds good to me.However I am 31 now, and done the clubbing /boozing thing now.Still happy to meet up for a coffee though to discuss the benefits. Let me know if you wish to hook up.
How about lifestyle? A lot of girls have left i heard. A lot of the better quality ones are now at FKK in germany. Cyclone has closed right?
Lifestyle? In what sense, sure I enjoy the sun if thats what you mean.I thought you were refering to the nightlife. As I say I am 31, and am not really interested in the Bars/clubs/Booze, I did all that in my 20's ( Ibiza/Shagamuf etc..).I am looking to discuss the benefits of trading from Dubai ( Obviously apart from the tax/weather ). Feedback guys? Thanks
Hello. Can anybody advise the inexpensive rent of working place in trading room in Dubai? I'm newbie in CME. Thanks in advance.
by "lifestyle" i didn't mean access to loose women, booze and clubs. I was actually referring to the general level of comfort/luxury that you live in here compared to other places I've lived. Its relatively easy to setup a local LLC/partnership to trade markets, if you are looking to take in OPM then the rules change and you are under significant regulatory scrutiny if you plan to market heavily. The ideal scenario here is to have a good pot of your own/close family and friends money that you can manage; while enjoying the beaches etc during the day...
are you guys still doing well in dubai? 2500 is reasonable if you consider the bloomberg, but why would you need a bloomberg in the first place?
