Anyone here "NOT" manage a HEDGE fund?

  1. It's all public record at the courthouse so I don't care.

I was involved in a real estate project and it turned out to be a beautiful project for both Seller (me) and the buyers.

The Condo president was a previous Mayor who thought he was a F'n know it all. He initially sued me for $14,000 which I agreed to pay becuase it wasn't worth the attorneys fees to fight it.

When we asked him to Sign a Release form so he couldn't sue me again "this idiot told me he was in the process of sueing me again."

He sued me for completely frivilous crap, he was turned down by 4 different law firms before someone finally agreed to represent him with all fees up front.

His ego got the best of him. After he lost and couldn't collect he was fired from the board as president and he moved out of the complex.

Unfortunately the people living there got stuck with all his legal fees.

None of the members wanted to sue me, he did this in spite of their concerns.

Be very careful who you elect as Board President of any association.

This guy had an Ego bigger than anyone on Wall St. He Owned the local bank and was a previous mayor.

He Retired, moved into my project and decided to make me and my development his Full time project. This loser spent years of his life going after me. His own wife pleaded with him to stop because all the neighbors were turning against them.

I felt sorry for his wife and everyone involved.

My Lawyer initially wanted to show this guy from Day 1 that I was Creditor Proof. I refused. I told my lawyer it was worth $12,000 in legal fees to embarrass the F out of this guy.

His own lawyer told me that they told "him" that the case was frivolous and if I defended it that the association would not win.

The minute his lawyer saw my paperwork he said "this answers everything, now everyone at the firm will understand why you didn't legally fight."

Just curious. How do you become ''Creditor Proof''

  3. I'm sure he'll answer in due course but my bets are on various offshore IBC vehicles in relevant privacy friendly jurisdictions i.e. all assets (e.g. property) owned by IBC whose true beneficial ownership cannot be linked to F-Trader (due to privacy laws of said jurisdictions or "bearer shares" corporations) etc.

So, let me see if I understand. You now you have an outstanding judgement against you for $400,000.00 because you failed to defend yourself in court, which you did intentionally because you are "creditor proof". This tells me that you must be lying, or that you must be a total moron. Let me tell you what your new irate debtor with a vendetta and a $400,000.00 judgement against you could do:

    1. Split up the debt into 40 revocable $10,000.00 increments and hire 40 independent debt collection agencies. Provide said debt collection agencies with all of your personal information they gained in the discovery process.

    2. Hire a private investigator to watch your every move, and begin the asset tracking process. The firm will record every moment of your life, documenting when you personally acquire or use any asset. Use the firms resources to keep track of your telephone and other personal information so that they can keep the debt collection agencies updated with your latest information. Then, have an investigator periodically interview each of your personal friends, family, extended family, neighbors, business associates, etc.

    3. Inevitably you will access your "sheltered" assets. When you do, they will have all the documentation they need to prove that the entity(ies) are nothing more than a proxy to control your personal assets which are encumbered by the judgement. In the meantime, your attempts to conduct business would be impeded at every turn. After all, whatever they alleged in court would be deemed "true" since you failed to defend yourself at all. They would be free to publicize that factual information, or employ other "creative" strategies in lieu of collecting on their debt.

If your story is true, your plaintiff must be totally useless. You would be surprised at how motivated some investigative agencies will get when there is a 50/50 split of a $400,000 debt. That kind of money has a high utility to a lot of people, so you are very lucky he does not make use of some "less ethical strategies" to extract his debt from you.

Anyway, good luck with all of that.

  7. I have NO assets nor any money in my name.:D

In fact, when I went to Discovery my lawyer told me NOT to have any jewelry, credit cards, or cash on me. I went with no jewelry whatsoever, a drivers license, and $2.00.

I went into a waiting room where a judge checked in and out every 10 min or so. 5 min into discovery the other lawyer knew he was F'd. He reviewed my papers and 45 min later he said "nice work."

I have NO telephone, either land line nor cell in my name.:D

I trade via my wifes account.:D

I'm glad you Mentioned "less ethical strategies" by these collection agencies, they are all F'n liars and do NOT follow the law at all.

I set up this Trust before any lawsuit started. This guy did hire private investigators who Lied about who they were.

He spent over 2 years and countless thousands of dollars trying to collect on this judgement. My guess is after he was fired as president of the association they gave up trying to collect.

They spent enough money and had had enough.
