The Mytrades room has stopped with the free trials. Anyone know what is going on now? I was interested but all this negative info sort of stopped me
the claims since the makeover seem credible, as I have witnessed a call by uncle mike in the room. my take is that whoever want to check out this thing, should really have the courage to pay 250$ and find out for themselves.
Thanks NQcruiser--all you need is a few good calls a day to pay for the room plus a profit--I think I will give it a go
I have been in the mytrades room and another room for quite some time so I thought I would give my opinion. I trade stocks and options in my IRA and I trade futures, specifically the S&P 500 and Dow eminis. I have been trading full time for almost two years. I consider myself a "newbie" trader, changing careers after 25 years in engineering and engineering management. I love this business and the freedom and flexibility it provides but I also realize that it is a very difficult way to make a living at the level I had previously enjoyed. I have read countless books on trading and trading psychology and I believe all of this education is leading me closer to my goal of sustaining my current lifestyle through trading. The moderators in mytrades room have certainly taught me a great deal and I am convinced my trading and money management is better than when I started. When I started, Lavender and Grumpee were the moderators and shortly after, Lavender was replaced with Uncle Mike. I learned a ton from Lavender and I still use some of her chart setups in my trading. Grumpee is a counter-trend trader who makes calls very accurately, hours in advance. While his calls are limited, they are generally very accurate and I have learned a great deal from him as well. Uncle Mike is a counter trend guy as well but makes calls more frequently than Grumpee. He has been very good as well although some of the countertrend stuff works better during different market periods. Wayne and his KwikPop charts and indicators are also very good visual reprentations that have helped me to trade and to backtest successful strategies using Ninja Trader/Zenfire and Mirus. Wayne is trying to incorporate more trend trades in the room so I think that it will only get better with time. I consider all of these costs investments in my education and in my trading business and much as when I became an engineer, I figure I will have to pay my dues before I can become an excellent trader. A trading room also brings other expertise together and in the mytradesroom there is a lot of talent in the room, willing to help and collaborate so it is not just about the moderators. Trading is also a lonely business, and the trading room does provide some level of social contact and I have communicated with traders all over the world. If you are a serious trader or if you want to be, the price of a trading room is in the noise level and can easily be recovered with 1 trade. A free trial may give you an idea as to whether or not a room may interst you but I have found that it actually takes several months or more to really start gaining a lot from a room. If I find that I am not "getting my money's worth" out of this room I will simply cancel the membership, however, in the mean time I will continue to learn as much as possible from the moderators and the room members. Good luck to all of you.
Jack broz is the only one worth a dime, ex floor trader, runs his room right off the floor, just price action and order flow
If putting something in writing so you can't #!@& around = iron clad guarantee, then I agree. This type of guarantee is offered by very credible educational resources, one of which has been mentioned in this thread. On the other hand, refusing to give any sort of trial simply is a huge warning sign that there is no credibility to the claims made. Actually, the best way to try something out is with a free or discounted trial or some sort of guarantee (there are all sorts of ways to make yourself more credible). Perhaps the "worst" way is to spend, spend, spend, and just call it all an "education." You can spend yourself into years of 1 month trials at different places then to be told that "you haven't given the method enough time" and to just pick "ABC Room" and go with it for a while. Then you realize it still is bullocks and that I was right all along: the only people making any money offer lots of free trials, or similar, to show off their talent and solicit business. Posting spam / acting like a shill on a message board, well, that's probably not the best way to get business either. It's certainly cheap.
There NEVER were any free trials. You can't stop something that was never started. I know you didn't post that info but it does need to be addressed. As for this nonsense, lol, "i have witnessed a call", Acall? just one?!? Another person who's "take" is that you spend, spend, spend. Shills are so obvious aren't they??
Yes I agree that IF there were a few good calls per day that they would pay for it and that would present a very valuable offering. Unfortunately, what appears to be the case here is some shill-istic behavior directed at newbies who tend to think "oh, well, if some random poster on the internet is giving it a try then that's all i need to convince me to try it for a month." It's also interesting how ALL of the points brought up in this thread that cast severe doubt on the service are not even given the slightest bit of attention. It's like the poster didn't read any of the thread and posted that he's going to give it a go based on one call witnessed by one random person (draw your own conclusions) OR the poster did read the entire thread and still posted what they did (draw your own conclusions). With just the slightest logic the nonsense and bullocks become so crystal clear.
Like was just posted they have had free trials the last couple weeks. They were for a week at a time, and I think they have some kind of info. meeting today that if you attend you can get a week free in the room. I didn't bother with this last trial, so have nothing to say about the calls. I need a new room though as the room this originated from is now dead, and I find I need some kind of contact during the day or I have to walk away to get refocused more often. Anyone has a free room where people are posting ideas and even their trades on occassion that would be great. Not looking for a signal service just some company during the day. (geez, that's sounding like a fruitty personal ad...lol)
