Has anyone here ever actually been to Iraq? If so what were your impressions? It would be interesting to hear some first hand accounts. I was thinking of doing a visa run there earlier this year because I've heard that Baghdad has some interesting museums and beautiful parks and also to take advantage of the cheap prices. However for various reasons I never got round to it, which I am now beginning to regret because it looks like most of it will be destroyed by the time the war is over.
While I was researching a possible trip I came across this site, about a trip by a New Zealand guy in 2001, one of the few first hand accounts I've seen. From a political perspective its quite interesting too.
