There was a buyer of 4300 shares at $18.85 on another platform than ARCA but my broker sent the order to ARCA. Is this reprehensible?
BCOR. The day before earnings. I thought that it would go down. It did for some time but it went back up at the end of the day. And still up today.
Are there really brokers who accept AH market orders? I've only known limit to be available... I should probably brush up on my extended hours...I think there's a good chance I'll have one in the coming week.
Why would any dealer buy the stock in the after hours without a severe discount ? The night before earnings ? Sorry about what happened, but there is no NBBO protection in the after hours session. I've attached the ETH disclaimer from oX/Schwab. You'll note they only accept limit orders in the ETH. That is a brokerage policy - not as I understand it an exchange rule.
4300 shares were mine. The trades for the other 1000 shares were cancelled 56 minutes later but not mine. I really wonder why another order to sell at that ridiculous price came right after mine. Usually when an order is very far from the market, my broker cancel the order immediately. I feel that in some way the other order to sell 1000 shares was there just to cancel the "automatic cancel rule" of my broker. That would explain why it was cancelled a few minutes later. It was a fake order.
Can you give me the link were you see thoses trades? I have a screen capture of those from the Nasdaq website but a link would be appreciated.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Sounds more like a bad print that was corrected. If your brokerage agreement allows for arbitration - then file an arbitration claim. Not sure if a Canadian can request NYSE arbitration. File a written complaint with the NYSE. That opens a file which will trigger an exchange compliance person to investigate the situation. Make sure your complaint is in writing with a copy to your broker, the SEC and the CSA. When the SEC does it's audit of NYSE/ARCA one of the first things they look at is the open compliance files and the length of time taken to close a file. Is your broker an exchange member ? If not also include their order consolidator in your complaint.
