Did you contact your broker immediately after the trade executed? Did you give enough time for your broker to file a bust request to ARCA within the 30 minute window?

if a bust request has a deadline of 30 minutes you can contact your broker just prior to the 30 minute deadline. he is obligated to enter the request as soon as possible.
"I called my broker right after."

"the best bid at the time was $6.40 and your order hit the'

This story keeps changing. That is really problematic.
I've been through a few NYSE arbitrations and this litany of events has become really problematic. A lot will fall to the broker's electronic logs which they are required to archive.
If the order arrived at their server with an 8.85 limit - it just became a good fill. If a glitch occurred at some point, but it hit their server at 8.85. ARCA would have no basis to bust. i would also assume a pop up would have appeared on @gate's order entry screen cautioned he was trading in ETH session. Assume everybody is telling the truth - the trade log session will be key. Broker produces a log with an 8.85 limit when there was 6.40 bid and this fill will stand.

Unfortunately, that is not how it works. Your broker has to contact ARCA within the 30 minute deadline. If you don't give your broker enough time to file, then it is deemed your fault (according to the powers that be).

Within' a few seconds right after the trade I was on the phone. I waited just a few minutes and I talk to someone. He thought that it was just a problem with the system displaying a wrong number. What is great is the fact that all phone calls are recorded.

Put pressure on your broker for full compensation then. That will in turn make them want to deal with ARCA on your behalf. I doubt ARCA caves given past samples of irrational behavior. Good luck with this.

My share were bought immediately as if someone was waiting to buy them. Is there an explanation for that?

The next morning when they called ARCA they told me that ARCA talked to the seller and he refused to cancel the trade.

  10. There's a lot of hidden stops within the spread. Particularly when the spread is wide.
