Run that on futures. You can't use cash.

Approx 95% lose scalping or day trading.
4.5% are mixture of breakeven to 500k a year.
0.5% make blunt of the profits.

I was associated with brokerage in mid 90's for a year, so first hand saw numbers for past ten years of customers. I have managed money for others for decade besides my own funds since 1978. Won couple of real money contests, though @Scataphagos won more contests and much larger rate of returns, one of few traders I admire on this site.

Reading your posts, you have spent the money before making it and don't have a clue on what you are doing wrong. You have wasted much much time, maybe even more so than most. "Iron clad discipline"? What is your sample size of back testing/forward testing?

Most don't believe in my approaches to learning, many say you have to do it with real money, I think it so wrong. Think one does demos with 10k and triple it three separate times, Ninjatrader would be more accurate way of demo.

Swing trading way to go, you have to make 100% + in day trading/scalping just to pay for years' worth of commissions. Better to use 60 minute bars, buy support/sell resistance offers smallest risk than doing breakouts. Check out Head and Shoulders patterns. And above all study patterns at ends of moves. Look to do few trades a week, aiming for 5 to 1 reward to risk. No hurry, forward trade six months.

Get a job you can do remotely.
Check out @Scataphagos, excellent charting trader, he's better than me.
Stop using indicators, you like most don't know the game is rigged using them.
    Good luck

I am profitable, have been for a few years now. I exclusively only trade futures.

I struggled for 6 years and then slowly learned how to trade.

You are struggling because you don't have a trading system and more importantly you haven't accepted and understood the probabilistic nature of trading.

For me, it is a most relaxing activity with a little bit of excitement and tension to see how much money I will make for the day. It is boring most times even even when I am in a trade.

Having a red week is an anomaly for me now. It's not because I can predict the future but because I am calm, relaxed, patient and only take my setup, completely okay with the fact that I could lose R1 but could also make R3 or more on any trade.

You are too mentally invested in your trades, the voice in your head is leading you astray.

Keep trading small and accept the nature of trading.

You can become a consistently profitable day trader but you have to graduate to that level psychologically.

I see Parabolic, which I have backtested many years to see it loses, and fast CCI, reminds me of "Woody" days, and it too is coin flip. I found only couple patterns of CCI to be worthy of trades for me but cci maxing to top or bottom like flipping a coin. I met the guy who made cci, he wasn't a trader but an engineer, he bought Texas Instrument calculator and wanted to see how to max out calculator and CCI came about. I couldn't believe Don Lambpert says he invented cci and wrote a book?
    IMHO

  7. Ok for start there is no Parabolic on the chart it is supertrend. You guys are looking at the cherries on the cake. Look at the cake itself (The range bars) Tell me you can't come up with some simple system if as the the OP has stated he has iron discipline.

    Lead/lag. Cash lags futures.

  10. I can't comment on US market but our market in OZ and the Dax I haven't found this to be a problem. Sure a point or two here and there but it tends to even out in the end. I know our market if the cash gets out of line with futures it gets arbed away pretty quick.
