I heard many people have problems....

  2. What kind of problems? I haven't experienced any problem with Win7 64-bit. 3 desktops, 1 laptop.

The only thing I saw: my trading platform - RealTick... has some display refresh issues in Win7. Some minor ones.

  3. There used to be a shortage of drivers but that seems to have been resolved. Biggest issue would be that it does need more ram and disk than 32 bit so I'd avoid it if I had less than 4G of ram.

For example, some people say they install 4Gb ram in W7 64bit but only 3.5GB is available:p

If I install 8GB in my 64bit, how much physical ram will be available for me?:p

  6. Depends... Probably close to 8GB

  7. Enclosed is a screenshot from my laptop, which has 8GB RAM and Windows 64-bit. Total available is about 8181MB.

How about posting that again right after a reboot and with no applications open.

It looks completely different from 32 bits...is it from "system" or task manager or a separate software?
