But you can set the block print threshold to anything you want. The minimum is 20K but you can say only show me prints of 200K or more. http://www.trade-ideas.com/Help.html#alert_filter_BP. I think what the other poster was looking for I got in the set up I showed earlier cause I said it was a 1 minute high or low for stocks that are trading 5 times normal volume for that time of day. http://www.trade-ideas.com/Help.html#wsf_MinRV That is why the set up I made, made more sense to me than block trades although I know there may be some overlap.
A block trade is one single trade. I also want to know, if there`s a high volume on a 1 Minute bar with a lot of singel trades. A kind of "trade rate" , like you see in "Livecharts". Why therse`s no special forum of trade ideas? I think, we can collect there a lot of suggestions for improvement?
What was your experience with this set up? http://www.trade-ideas.com/View.php...inVol=100000&MinRV=5&WN=1+Minute+Volume+Spike
In addition to this thread on EliteTrader, there are several other places on the web to post comments about the service. You can find these forums by Googling Trade-Ideas.com (don't want to post any offending links here). Trade-Ideas support members regularly read these posts for suggestions and feedback. Additionally there are a growing number of Elite Traders using Trade-Ideas who also respond to questions like yours - many of whom we hope to see in NY this February for the Traders Expo. Visit the A.B. Watley booth to meet us in person. Regarding your question, take a look at these alerts designed to spot what you describe: http://www.trade-ideas.com/Help.html#SV or a combination of a high volume filter and the 1 min high alert: http://www.trade-ideas.com/Help.html#wsf_MinRV http://www.trade-ideas.com/Help.html#IDH1 Let me know how that works
I have one problem with trade-ideas pro: I have several alert windows, which send each alert to linked esignal-charts. Every alert window is linked with the same esignal study. If there`s a lot alert "traffic", every chart is only for one second open and then esignal takes 3 seconds to recieve datas for the next alert. Makes me crazy. So i have to configure my alerts very specific to avoid the problem. The "high relative volume" is simular, but not really the same. Thanks NY is a bit far for us... More than 5000 Miles..
Without posting the links, the site is .investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=1530 (just add the 'www') or look at this Google search: http://www.google.com/search?as_q=+...s_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images You'll also see a reference to the Trade-Ideas blog for further information and articles.
5000 miles... wow. Is that Tokyo? Without knowing your exact set-up from your description, all I can say is that you should create a one-to-one relationship between multiple Trade-Ideas alert windows and eSignal charts. You can also choose to make the chart update process manual via a double click on the stock symbol rather than automatically refreshing with every post. Some advice from the video tour is here: http://www.trade-ideas.com/VideoHelp/Menu.html?video=Trade-Ideas Pro: Actions for Alerts Here is also a slight improvement on a great set-up Diamondtrom created (hopefully no offense taken DT, none meant) http://www.trade-ideas.com/View.php...nVol=100000&MinRV=10&WN=1+Minute+Volume+Spike
Interesting....I see you changed the Min Current volume to filter for only VERY EXPLOSIVE volume burst. I like it!
