Sure, I'm wondering if there are low cost etfs commercialised by licensed companies available for purchase by chinese investors, similar to vanguard etfs in the US. Yes, A and B shares of the same stock, or A and H shares. I understand it's not easy to profit on the price gap, but with 33% premium on A shares over H shares at the moment, according to the Hang Saeng AH premium index, I would encourage an investor (looking for a long term investment) who has access to both A shares and H shares market to rather buy H shares in HK. In which case i'm still at a loss on how to invest onshore rmb. Do you know how a chinese citizen can buy directly corporate bonds ? Banks there ime mostly offer bond funds and the bonds prospectuses offer little understanding of what they are worth, especially to a non chinese reader. I'm not sure how helpful it is to go through a broker, nor how reputable are the brokers there.
(Many) local funds are open to non chinese nationals though, yet policies regarding foreigners' access to investment products vary from bank to bank and even bank branch to bank branch. I remember ICBC's chinese website offering a decent line up of funds with a short english prospectus attached, i know other banks that allow foreigners to buy shares in those funds but haven't noticed them providing much information in english.
I don't know what you are talking about and why you said that. I was trying to help, not for any return. I don't have to lie. I sent you three emails to your email address and got no reply. If that's not enough, you can check your private message with me, I have written to you a detailed instruction to use my paper trading account, which took me an hour yesterday. I don't have too much experience with this forum but I hope not everyone is lacking calm like this.
