I guess it depends on what kind of scalping you are talking about. Scalping for ticks, yes, but scalping for points, no.
Avoid putting monitors one on top of the other. That is bad ergonomics and a recipe for neck and back issues in the long run. Keep the top of your monitor at your horizontal eyeline. Go wide with your monitors. I have a 32" monitor and a 24" monitor side by side for my day work.
There are games that I would never play like "Fornite" but if you find your own genre, games are fun and can keep your broken soul at bay. Because traders are all broken one way or another, let's face it. You just have to find the right game for you to enjoy it. My preferred choices are survival games like "The Forest"or "Green Hell" and puzzles like "Inside", "Contrast"or "The incredible Machine". Whoever is saying that gaming is a waste of time is because they have not found a game that clicked their interest, once it does, a good game is like a good book or film, you love it regardless your age.
It sounds like you have no need for recreation, hobbies, or other leisure activities, even though you seem to be having fun trolling other's non-trading interests, which I find ironic. Balancing work/life can actually make someone a better trader, muchless a better person. That said, you're also showing your understanding of the markets is very limited to simply include microsecond execution. I have to assume you feel the markets are perfectly efficient outside of that, which unless movement is perfectly linear through all time frames, that's absolutely impossible. But good luck with your colocating fees.
Like EverQuest. That game will put hair on your ass. Talk about strategy and planning needed to be a success in it. Just whoa.
Everyone can play games no matter the age if he has the time for it, if he enjoys it and if this is its way to escape the everyday hurdles
If you are so confident in scalping then let me know your trading statistics, what is your profit factor ? Your Reward-Risk-Ratio (Net profit to Drawdown) on monthly base ?
My Profit Factor is around 4 and my monthly RRR between 1 and 2. So overall Sharpe Ratio actually around 5. (and I do not scalp at all and I would have never achieved spending my time with playing video/PC games a lot)
Let me explain why games are stupid and a waste of time. You usually need no longer than 1 month to master a game and be a champion or winner of it. But to master things in real life you need to spend some years or even longer and try it hard with lots of efforts to be a winner here. You only get false impressions that trading could be that easy in any such way. That is why such unrealistic games are stupid.
